Our project partner, Office Principles delivered a combined CAT A and CAT B fit-out for Techspace’s newest coworking location at 25 Worship Street in Shoreditch, transforming 25,000 sq ft into a vibrant workspace that honours the building’s industrial heritage.

Techspace, established in 2012 in Old Street’s technology ecosystem, has grown into a dynamic European community serving over 3,500 members and 75+ forward-thinking tech teams across London and Berlin locations.

The comprehensive renovation included transforming an underutilized basement into ‘The Lightwell’ – a versatile events space for up to 50 people – complete with meeting rooms of various sizes, a wellbeing room, and modern shower facilities. A significant highlight is the revamped roof terrace, featuring new lighting, decking, and mesh balustrade, creating a year-round outdoor meeting and events space.

The project tackled complex building control regulations to maximize occupancy, including adding new lobbies on each floor and a dedicated ground floor fire escape. Mechanical and electrical systems were cleverly designed for flexibility, with pipework following the contours of feature coffered ceilings to maximize height. All installed products are carbon neutral across their full lifecycle, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability.
